The first film, , was released in 2012 and was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $677 million worldwide. The second film, was released in 2013 and grossed over $865 million worldwide.

The third and fourth films, and , were released in 2014 and 2015 and both films maintained the franchise’s momentum, with combined global earnings of over $1.4 billion.

In total, franchise has grossed over $2.96 billion worldwide.

. The movie will gross between $35 million and $45 million in its domestic opening weekend. And, $90 million to $142 million will be the film’s lifetime run collection at the domestic box office.
