The Daily Mail has shared Britney Spears' emotional casting tape for the film "The Notebook", in which she auditioned for the role of Allie opposite Ryan Gosling. In the video, Spears is seen reading a scene where her character tells Gosling's Noah that she is going to marry another man. Spears delivers the lines with tears in her eyes, showcasing her acting abilities. Hollywood casting director Matthew Barry, who worked on the film, described Spears' audition as "phenomenal". He also revealed that she beat out top actresses such as Scarlett Johansson, Claire Danes, and Kate Bosworth for the role. Although Spears ultimately lost the part to Rachel McAdams, she expressed that she was glad she didn't get it as it would have taken away from her music career. Spears opened up about her acting experience in her upcoming memoir, explaining that she struggled with separating herself from her character while filming the movie "Crossroads". She hopes to never experience that again, as it blurred the lines between reality and fiction. The memoir, titled "The Woman in Me", will be released on October 24th.
