Apart from having oodles of talent, Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence is also known to be a very personable star who has had great equations with her co-actors in films. From Bradley Cooper, to Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio, Lawrence, an A-list star herself, has held her own amidst these talented actors.
The star shared screen space with one of the young and upcoming superstars of Hollywood, Timothée Chalamet, in 2021’s which also featured Leonardo DiCaprio. This film which was shot mostly within the restrictions of the Covid pandemic, proved to be a challenge for all actors. Chalamet also confessed that he proved to be an annoying co-star for Lawrence with his quirkiness on set.

The cast had to work through difficult schedules that involved quarantine regulations and other restrictions imposed due to Covid. Chalamet, who had to spend 14 days in isolation before appearing for his part in the film, revealed that all his cooped up energy came bursting out on the first day of filming. His unbounded vivacity proved to be quite extreme for Jennifer Lawrence, who was completely thrown off by his behavior. In an interview with , Chalamet elaborated on what transpired and said,
“By the time I got to set I was buzzing. That was the day Jennifer said was the most annoying day of her life, working with me and Leo. I exploded out of my room.”
The star though, ensured that it was smooth sailing with Lawrence during his short appearance in the film, and lauded both his co-stars for their professionalism on set.

In 2021’s , Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio had equally significant roles as the two lead actors of the film. But when it came to their salaries, DiCaprio took home a higher paycheck, which was 20 percent more than Lawrence. Despite being paid less, the star, who is also a strong advocate for women’s equality, defended her co-star’s salary and explained why she was satisfied with her deal. In an interview with , Lawrence said,
“Leo brings in more box office than I do. I’m extremely fortunate and happy with my deal. I was number one on the call sheet, so … I thought [the credits] should reflect that. Leo was very gracious about it.”
Lawrence also added that she was well aware that discrepancies in payment with regard to gender was still prominent in Hollywood. The actor hoped and believed that with time, this inequality will be eradicated, slowly, but surely.
