Halsey reveals she has added BREAST MILK to her skincare routine

revealed she has added a very unusual ingredient to her skincare routine, but now swears by her choice. 

The Without Me singer, 28, , who she shares with her writer-producer boyfriend Alev Aydin, 40.  

Halsey, whose real name is Ashley, invests a lot of time and effort into making her skin glow. 

She revealed her top secrets in an interview with  magazine, including using hyaluronic acid, a lip mask and even make-up wipes to remove thick editorial looks. 

But the New Jersey-born songstress said the 'best ingredient ever' is actually her breast milk.

Sweet: The Without Me singer, 28, welcomed her first child Ender in 2021

She said: 'I've always been really conscious about what goes on my skin, but when your baby is kissing you or snuggled up against you, you become hyper-cognisant of what's on your face. 

'I started breastfeeding and I figured out that breast milk is the best skincare ingredient ever because it's so full of anti-oxidants and good fats and stuff that speed up the healing process.' 

The Grammy-nominated artist opened up to about motherhood in 2021, three months after giving birth to Ender.

'Being a mother to my son makes being a musician seem pretty boring,' they said. 'Something really amazing happened when I did have my son, which is the absolute, glorious eradication and death of my ego.'

'Nothing matters when I go home to him,' Halsey told . 'He thinks I'm perfect and great and everything.'

'I'm going to create when I want to,' declared the hitmaker. 'The only expectation I have for myself is to be a really good mom, and the rest will fall into place around that.' 

Halsey later wrote on : 'I feel guilty for working, I feel guilty when I'm not working. I'm terrified I'll always struggle to live up to my own expectations.

They added: 'But I have also experienced love unlike any other and have finally learned how to ask for help and admit when I'm lonely or in need.'

And when it comes to her boyfriend, Alev Aydin – whom she met in 2018 when he was hired to write her Sony Pictures biopic that never materialised – Halsey couldn't be happier. 

'I love my partner,' she declared in an interview with . 'Our relationship is so full of love and passion and communication.'

Last Sunday it was announced that Halsey severed ties with her longtime label partner Capitol Records after an eight-year relationship.

Over the course of her career, the pop star released four studio albums through Capitol Music Group and Capitol Records itself.

'After eight great years the decision to leave Capitol is bittersweet, but we are excited about exploring a new partnership and sharing new music with fans,' Halsey’s managers, Anti-Pop’s Jason Aron and Anthony Li, wrote in a statement.

It comes nearly one year after the Without Me singer-songwriter got into a public dispute with Capitol.

Halsey accused the label of shelving her single So Good until it had a viral TikTok campaign attached to it.

'My record company is saying that I can't release it unless they can fake a viral moment on TikTok,' she said in May 2022. 

'Everything is marketing and they are doing this to basically every artist these days. I just wanna release music, man. And I deserve better tbh.'

Halsey added, 'Basically I have a song that I love that I wanna release ASAP. But my record label won’t let me.'

A Capitol Music Group spokesperson responded to the artist's posts in a statement sent to Billboard: 'Our belief in Halsey as a singular and important artist is total and unwavering.

We can’t wait for the world to hear their brilliant new music.'

'We have nothing but a desire to help each one of our artists succeed, and hope that we can continue to have these critical conversations,' the statement continued.

Ultimately, So Good was released on June 9, 2022, just over a month after the dispute was made public.

Halsey's most recent album, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, came out in August 2021.
