Kenny "The Jet" Smith, the former UNC teammate of NBA legend Michael Jordan, recalled how Jordan tirelessly worked on what he saw as his basketball weakness, and turned it into his biggest strength. According to Smith, Jordan couldn't "handle the rock" in college, yet Jordan took that as a challenge and worked tirelessly to improve his dribbling skills. Smith was stunned to see Jordan improve his handling skills so significantly after just one year, saying it was once a weakness, but became his strength. Smith further complimented Jordan, stating that the legend's weaknesses at the beginning of his career became his strengths at the end, an attribute unique to only him and unseen in other players like LeBron James or Kevin Durant. Smith noted that while James worked hard, he was never able to perfect his craft the way Jordan did. Thus, commenting that LeBron's weakness, free-throw shooting, was something James never managed to fully master, whereas Jordan had no real weakness in his game.
