Abandoned dogs suffer greatly, both emotionally and physically, leaving deep scars. In London, a black Staffordshire Bull Terrier was left at a train station, realizing it had lost its warm home and cried alone. Onlookers were heartbroken, as the owner had left only a box of water. Hoping the owner would return, people waited but the dog was truly abandoned.  The animal protection association was contacted to bring the poor dog to a shelter. Such abandonments are common on the streets, and legislation is hoped to prevent them. Along with joy, owning a pet is a great responsibility. Before getting one, consider if you can take care of its life, including sickness and death, without abandoning it.
