A few years ago, a motorcycle ride in Ecuador nearly became a tragedy. After buying a Honda XR190, the rider spent only one week with the bike before a devastating crash on the Pan-American Highway. He had no formal motorcycle training and believed he could handle the adventure he wanted. His passion was exploring places that even his Toyota Hilux could not reach, and the motorcycle seemed like the perfect tool for discovering difficult roads.
