Isiah Thomas, the Detroit Pistons icon, and Michael Jordan, the Chicago Bulls superstar, held an intense rivalry during their heyday in the late 1980s and 90s. Detroit's "Bad Boys," led by Thomas, often prevailed, eliminating the Bulls from three successive playoffs (1988-1990). Their tussle reached a pinnacle in the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals when the Bulls overturned the tide. Thomas and his teammates infamously exited without congratulatory handshakes. Thomas' exclusion from the 1992 Dream Team, due to Jordan alongside Magic Johnson and other teammates, ignited new flames. Latterly, Thomas has repeatedly expressed discontent with Jordan. His frustration grew when 'The Last Dance' debuted, showcasing their feud. He demands an apology from Jordan as a way to reconcile, a notion Charles Oakley dismisses, saying, "Michael does not want to be your friend, Isiah… He took over Chicago." Nonetheless, Thomas retorts, reminding everyone of his head-to-head triumphs over teams Jordan played on. The rivalry continues unabated.
